About the Role
As an Account Director, you’ll lead client relationships with authority and empathy, guiding teams to deliver exceptional work that exceeds expectations. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, shaping strategies, overseeing execution, and ensuring every deliverable reflects excellence, insight, and precision. As a versatile and adaptable practitioner, you will be able to work with clients across a variety of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client meetings and calls, offering senior-level counsel and strategic direction.
- Anticipate client needs and deliver proactive, solutions-oriented support.
- Develop and oversee integrated PR and communications strategies that align with business objectives and achieve measurable outcomes.
- Write and edit persuasive, well-crafted media materials—including pitches, press releases, and strategic plans—with minimal revision.
- Cultivate strong, credible relationships with media and influencers to generate high-impact coverage.
- Ensure all client-facing materials are accurate, polished, and aligned with brand standards.
- Identify emerging opportunities for visibility, partnerships, and thought leadership.
- Represent the agency and its clients with professionalism and confidence.
- Take ownership of outcomes, driving accountability, timelines, and results.
- Oversee account teams to ensure work is strategic, on time, and consistently excellent.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote, fast-moving environment.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of PR agency or relevant communications experience.
- Undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related field.
- Proven success in building and managing strong client relationships.
- Demonstrated media relations expertise and established journalist contacts.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strategic thinker with initiative, curiosity, and problem-solving ability.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple projects.
- Comfortable leading accounts with minimal oversight.
- French language skills (oral and written) are a strong asset.
